The Blitzschnell Ski Club (the name translates to lightning-fast in German) was founded in 1965 with members primarily from the Massachusetts North Shore area. For many years the club was based near Mt. Whittier, the now defunct ski area in West Ossipee, NH. Since selling the house in the 80's the club has attracted members who either own their own houses, are day trippers, or are members who hold dual memberships at other clubs for lodging purposes. At times there has been sufficient demand that the club has rented a house on a year-by-year basis. As you can see on the EICSL web site (www.eicsl.org), the benefits of being a member of a club associated with EICSL are many. Our members are fully involved with all of the year-round aspects of the social and ski race opportunities the league offers in addition to our own club events. We have a very reasonable fee structure for skiers who would like to join the club and participate in EICSL. We offer a general membership, which includes club and EICSL membership or full membership which includes club, EICSL and race fees for participation in the EICSL White Mountain Racing. EICSL racing is a separate program for those who are interested in competitive, all abilities, all ages, ski racing. Race classes are broken down by both age and ability level so you're never racing someone either way above or way below your ability level. The junior membership includes race program participation and eligibility for all of the discounts on food, merchandise and services which are listed on the Discounts Page of the EICSL web site. The Blitzschnell Ski Club also offers a separate race membership for members of other EICSL clubs who do not have a race program. All race members must be EICSL members through their primary club. Blitzschnell Memberships: Full Member: $60 - Includes EICSL Membership and Race Fee (First year racers are free, fee in following years) General Member: $30 - Includes EICSL Membership Only Junior - Free as long as they don't want a membership card. DOB needed. Download and provide Junior Liability Waiver. All Junior racers race for free, first year adult and members who haven't raced in 2 or more years race for free.
Race Membership for member of other EICSL clubs without race programs. Adult Race - $30: Race Fee Only (Your membership and liability waiver are through your membership club). First year racing is free, no fee charged. Junior Race - FREE, but at least one adult must be an EICSL member. Provide DOB in membership form and Junior Liability Waiver.
Membership Requirements - Please read and signify acceptance below at the bottom of the membership form.
-- In addition to filling out the form below you must mail in a signed Liability Waiver Form with your membership payment. No waiver, no membership, it's that simple.
-- Families must list additional members, with DOB, in the Comments box below. A waiver form that includes each member of a family must accompany your membership payment. Use the Family Waiver Form.
-- New members must provide the name of a current Blitzschnell Ski Club member, 2 current EICSL members, or be a member of the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce for membership consideration. Please email me your sponsor names separately after filling out the membership form.
-- New members may be required to meet with a club representative prior to membership being accepted.
-- New members must state if they have been a member of an EICSL club previously and identify the club.
-- During the first year of membership the club may terminate membership at any time.
-- Race-Only members joining from other clubs do not need to send a liability waiver, they will have done that through their membership club.

Membership fees and waivers are due by September 15th if you're going on the Jay Peak trip, all others, November 1 of the membership year. (Blitzschnell members only, not members of other clubs joining to race). Please make checks payable to CLARK LINEHAN (not the club) and mail them to Clark Linehan, 18 Ashfield Drive, Brockton, MA 02302. Due to bank fees and the highly seasonal nature of this club I closed the separate ski club bank account and I'm now using an old business account, that's already paid for but currently dormant. Payments via Venmo can be made to @Clark-Linehan, please pay as "friend" so that a transaction fee isn't charged. E-mail me if you have any questions at [email protected].
